District Collector, Mr. M.Ravi Chandra has been appointed as The Special Officer of Kakinada Municipal Corporation. On this, Government has passed orders through GO MS Number 281 here on tuesday night. It was mentioned in the order that, this appointment will be taking place shortly. Mayor and Standing Committee will come under the control of Collector, until and unless the new municipal corporation body is elected. However, replacing Collector as The Special officer in the place of Joint Collector Mr. Ahmed Babu, has become an exhaustive discussion among officials. Earlier, Government has passed orders that Joint Collector will take the place of Special officer after the tenure of municipal corporation body. On this basis, Ex-Joint Collector, Mr. Kone Sasidar was appointed but was transferred to Vishakapatnam recently. Later, newly appointed Joint Collector Mr. Ahmed Babu was appointed as Special Officer during last month. As there is chance of delay in Municipal elections, this decision has been taken. However, there will be changes in Municipal Corporation and hoping that, best services will be provided to the people of Kakinada.
