Hyderabad, Nov 4th: Suspended Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Kovvur MLA N Prasanna Kumar Reddy, who had raised the banner of revolt, dashing off open letters to party president N Chandrababu Naidu, on Nov 4 called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah. Later, Mr Reddy said that he called on Mr Rosaiah to plead for construction of a barrage in his constituency. He had earlier taken up the matter with late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and wanted Mr Rosaiah to ensure early launch of the project.
He claimed that continuing the winning streak; the Congress party would bag a majority of the wards in the November 23 civic polls in Hyderabad. Earlier, Mr Reddy, shooting off a series of letters, urged TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu to step down from the post on the principle of one-man-one post and make Mr Naidu's brother-in-law, actor Balakrishna the party president to boost the sagging image of the party after the drubbed it received in the May last Lok Sabha and assembly elections.
