Kakinada, Dec 26th: Contract employees union has staged dharna demanding for the rise of wages as per the S.R.R rules of the government. Activists have staged dharna at R.W.S office on Friday. Activists demanded the government to raise the salaries and to provide security to their jobs.
CITU district in charge, Sheshu Babu has called for dharna. Speaking on the occasion he alleged that the prices of daily necessaries has increased to such an extend that the common man is unable to afford. He demanded the government for providing PF and E.S.I facilities to the contract employees.
The other activists demanded the government to pay the pending salaries to the employees and to take up programs for the welfare of the employees union. Activists raised slogans against the government and demanded to pay the salaries on time. Union leaders P. Kasi Visweswara Rao, Madhu Sarath Babu, M. Srinivasa Rao, Pochayya and other took part in Dharna.
