Kakinada, Feb 18th: Leaders and supporters of Praja Rajyam Party, Kakinada urban unit, organized a demonstration and later staged dharna at district collectorate on Wednesday. The activists demanded for the allocation of common symbol for the party. Initially the leaders started rally from PR party office and reached collectorate via three light junction, Gandhinagar. Later they submitted petition to the joint collector, Kona Sasidhar requesting for the allotment of common symbol for the party.
PRP party district conveyor M.S Chakravarthy spoke on the occasion. Addressing the party cadre he revealed that the party is organizing dharna as a part of submitting memorandum to the election commission through the collector. He also mentioned that the party has total membership of 60 lakh in the state and it comes to 16 per cent of total votes. He expressed confidence of party winning the polls in both Kakinada urban and rural constituencies and in Kakinada parliamentary constituency. Party urban convenor Mr. Prasangi Adinarayana also spoke on the occasion. S. Rajababu, Ch, Shankar Rao, U. Naveen, P. Gandhi Mohan and many more party leaders took part in dharna.
