Kakinada, Jan 21^st: Under the leadership of Communist Party of India (CPI), Indiramma Scheme beneficiaries of Kakinada, staged dharna at office of the district manager of housing on Wednesday. The agitators sat before the office for more than an hour and blocked the way. They alleged that the government is making delay in executing the project even though Rs6, 000 was collected from them a year ago at the time of laying the foundation stone for the project. They also criticized that, the whole process is bogus.

Addressing the gathering CPI, Kakinada area secretary, T. Madhu criticized the government for its delay in implementing the project. He said that all the beneficiaries who paid the money were daily wage laborer and has paid the amount with much difficulty hoping to get own houses. He alleged that, the government has celebrated the 3^rd schedule of indiramma houses without completing the works at local Venkatnagar. He asked the district collector and the housing board DM to look over the issue and take necessary measures to complete the pending works. Members of the fourth division participated in large numbers in dharna.
