Kakinada, Mar 31st: Sitting congress MLA of Tallarevu constituency, Mr. Dommeti Venkateswarlu staged dharna at Kala Venkata Rao Congress Bhavan on Tuesday. For neglecting over the allocation of seat to him he staged dharna at both congress bhavan and later at the residence of Union minister of state for defence, Mr. M.M Pallam Raju.
Mr. Venkateswarlu along with many supporters and congress activists raised slogans against the chief minister, Y.S Raja Shekar Reddy and the Union Minister for their reported intervention in selecting Nurukurthi Venkateswara Rao by neglecting him. He alleged that the congress government has intentionally neglected him without any specific reasons.
Minister tried to bring the situation into control by having a talk with Dommeti. And on hearing the news DCC President, Mr. Ch. Venugopala Krishna also reached minister’s house and had a talk with chief minister on phone. Dommeti was satisfied with the discussions and with a hope to get justice from the higher authorities he gave up dharna.
