Kakinada, Dec 2nd: The opposition parties TDP, CPM and CPI has staged dharna at district collectorate on Tuesday demanding for the reduction of petrol rates. The leaders alleged that even though the rates were reduced internationally the central Government has not dropped down the rates of petrol and diesel.
The party members submitted a petition to the RDO Mohan Rao demanding for the reduction of rates. Speaking on the occasion they said that due to the rise of petrol prices the rates of daily necessary commodities has also increased a lot. They alleged that the common man cannot bear these rates if the petrol rates were not reduced.
Chikkala Ramachandra Rao, Ex-MLA Venkateswara Rao , Vivekananda and many more took part in dharna. All the members commented on the ruling party saying that the congress party has promised to reduce the rates but failed to do the same. Telugu youth convener Venkateswara Rao, Mandal party president Simhadri also participated in the dharna.
