Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh Jute Development Centre Limited (APJDC), Mr. B.V. Rama Rao, at a press conference here on Tuesday, said that jute centers will be opened in 23 Districts across the State. APJDC which is meant for the development of jute products, is going to conduct awareness program across the State to promote cultivation of jute and to encourage unemployed youth in setting up small-scale units of jute products across the State. The first meeting will be held at Chilakaluripet on 10th of November. He said that the centre was keen on encouraging farmers to cultivate jute, as there was greater demand for jute in Northern States and in Bangladesh as well. Mr. Rama Rao said that plans were happening to set up jute parks in Visakhapatnam, Guntur and Mahabubnagar Districts and export fine fiber to foreign countries.
