Telugu Desam Party member & Former Finance Minister Mr.Yanamala Ramakrishnudu demanded an explanation from Chief Minister K.Rosaiah for the differences in Planning Commission's outlay for the State (Rs 36,800 Cr) and the figure approved by the Assembly which stood at about Rs 40,800 Cr. Mr.Rosaiah should bring out a white paper on the actual plan allocations and projected expenditure in order to give an clear picture to the public. Addressing media persons here on Saturday, Mr.Ramakrishnudu claimed that the Planning Commission had recently pulled up the State Government for financial license and policies which failed to support the human development index. The Government promised a lot on the economic front but failed to achieve real development. It should publish facts related to the last six years giving full details of the Central allocations and actual spending. During the Chief Minister's meeting with Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia on Friday, in a clear contrast of its own observations made about 10 days ago, the Planning Commission complimented the Government for plan performance, reforms and promoting public – private partnerships. The Government owed an explanation as to how and to which sectors it planned to reduce the allocations by Rs 4,000 Cr to which extent the plan outlay stood reduced from Rs 40,800 Cr that was accepted in the Assembly.
