Kakinada, May 20: Demanding to decrease the fee structure of corporate schools, Students Federation of India (SFI), Kakinada unit has organized dharna at district collectorate on Wednesday. With the drastic increase of school fees by corporate schools, S.F.I leaders accompanied by society members organized dharna at collectorate about an hour. They raised slogans against the private managements stating to decrease the fees as well as burden on parents. They also asked the concerned not to make students away from education in the name of huge fee structures.
Speaking on the occasion, East Godavari district SFI president, Ch. Venkatesh said that the fees in the particular academic year of 2009-10 was nearly increased to 200 percent posing huge burden on middle class people. He demanded government and education departments to take severe action on such institutions and to keep check on the increase of the same. SFI leaders, P. Raju, Anantha Lakshmi, Prasad, Swaroop, Prakash, Srinivas, Sushma and many more took part in dharna.
