Demand for Jagan as CM get new turn

Hyderabad, Sep 29th: The demand to make Mr Jaganmohan Reddy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh took new turn with four legislators from Kadapa District threatening to resign if the high command fails to fulfill their aspirations. They demanded the party high command convene the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting to elect its leader immediately. MLAs Adinarayana Reddy, Srikanth Reddy, Kamalamma and Amarnath Reddy demanded the high command convene the CLP meeting within three days and threatened to resign otherwise.

Earlier, ZPTC Members and supporters of Mr Jaganmohan stopped the proceedings of Zilla Parishad meeting, geared the MLAs and other leaders of the district and sat in front of the Zilla Parishad Office. Later, the MLAs expressed their solidarity and extended their support to the demand of the party workers and ZPTC members for making Mr Jaganmohan, son of former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy who died in a helicopter crash recently, as Chief Minister. Andhra Pradesh Women Development and Child Welfare Minister Konda Surekha, a staunch supporter of Mr Jaganmohan reiterated she would quit the Ministry if the High Command failed to make Mr Jaganmohan the Chief Minister.
