Hyderabad, July 10th: The counseling for admission into various engineering and medical colleges through Eamcet (Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test) is likely to delay further. It is nearly a month since the Eamcet results were announced, but the officials are still clueless on the schedule for commencing counseling for admissions. Over two lakh engineering aspirants, who qualified in the entrance test, are eagerly waiting for the admissions to begin but the government is not in a position to release the notification.
Though the notification was originally scheduled to be issued on Friday, the officials failed to do so. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is also not bothered to intimate the state government on the new approvals for colleges. The officials could not issue GOs for the newly sanctioned colleges that were approved by the AICTE as the minister for the technical education, Mr. Mopidevi Venkata Ramana is in US to attend the TANA celebrations. With this delay the officials of higher education have decided to speed up the process this time and introduced ‘Web based counseling’.
