Water supplies superintendent Mr. D. Kasi Visveswara Rao conferenced with the central delta distributory committee regarding the modernisation of delta yesterday in collectorate court hall. They received very good response from the farmers for the modernisation of godavari delta. Officers proposed to give a break in rabi season to complete this work. Farmers said that they would agree for this proposal only when they promise them to complete P. Gannavaram package works within said time. Later superintendent said that they will stop the supply in delta for rabi season but said that should see that the work starts immedaitely and gets completed in the said time. He discussed on Amalapuram delta and said to pass tender and then start development works but made clear that break in rabi season for this delta works is not possible. After this discussion they decided to start only Gannavaram package development works. He said to pass bills only after checking for the quality. Concrete works should also be done along with these works, he added. He requested to implement all these immediately.
