CPM Party City leaders & members on Saturday conducted huge protest against to the hike in petrol prices infront of the Collectorate in Kakinada. They have burnt the effigy of UPA Government on this. Firstly, they have conducted rally from Sundaraiah bhavan to Collectorate and staged dharna infront of the Collectorate. Speaking on this, the CPM state committee member Mr. Venkateswarulu said that the UPA Government has hiked petrol and diesel prices seven times in past four months. He alleged that the Government is working for the interests of private oil corporate companies as around Rs.19 lakh corers had been given to them in the past three years. He demanded to reduce the prices hike. CPM District Secretary Mr. Dhadala Subbarao, Mr. T.S.Prakash, Mr. Murthy and others participated in the protest.
