Supreme Court passed orders to East Godavari District Collector to conduct District Level Vigilance & Monitoring Committee meetings. According to the 17th article of SC/ST Atrocity act, these meetings should be held for every 3months in a year, but they are not conducting properly, so that Dalitbahujan Agricultural Workers Union applied for Writ Petition 17641/2010 on Supreme Court on this. Responding to the petition, Supreme Court passed orders here on Monday. Dalitbahujan Agricultural Workers State Secretary, Mr. Ainaapurapu Suryanarayana had said this to media here on Monday.
