Kakinada, March 31st: East Godavari district collector and District Election Officer (DEO), Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi inspected colleges that were selected as counting centers in Kakinada city. Counting for both parliament and Assembly segments are scheduled to be organized on May 16. The Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) will be stored in these centers till the counting date.
The collector along with the district SP Y. Nagi Reddy visited JNTU University, Andhra Polytechnic, MSN Charities and VS Lakshmi College. He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements done for both the counting and EVMs storage. Collector revealed that the counting for all the Assembly segments and Parliament constituencies in the district will be organized in Kakinada. He ordered Kakinada RDO, Mr. Kishore Kumar to look over the arrangements and take necessary precautions to carry counting in a smooth manner. RDO Kishore Kumar, urban MRO Sriram, principals of the concerned colleges accompanied the collector.
