Counseling has been conducted for the promotion of Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) to School Assistants (SA) here on Friday at Sarvasiksha Abhiyan. In this counseling, 11 in Maths, 52 in Social, 17 in Biological Science, 9 in English were promoted as SA’s and few other senior candidates were absent. This counseling was commenced in the afternoon at 3pm but was not completed even till 8pm. Therefore, counseling was not conducted for candidates who received DSC-2008 appointment letters. After the counseling of promotion, counseling was to be conducted for DSC 2008 candidates for the vacant SGT seats. Due to this, candidates waited for long time at Rajiv Vidya Mission office. In order to conclude the promotion procedure soon, teachers union and educational officers provided information to candidates through phone but still it was delayed. When DEO RS Ganga Bhavani was asked for an explanation on this, she stated that once promotion process is completed, then only counseling for DSC-2008 candidates would be commenced, she added. AD Annapurna, Vijaya Ramarao, STF District President P.Sai Ramakrishna, Chief Secretary K.Subhramannyam, PRTU District President BV Sastry, Secretary Tilak, UTF President Prabhakara Varma, Secretary Jyothi Basu were present.
