Additional Joint Collector Mr. B. Rama Rao called upon students pursuing education in social welfare hostels to achieve good results in the annual examinations. Addressing the counseling for girls seeking admission into Class V in Gurkul Schools this Thursday, Mr. Rama Rao said that the State government is spending huge amounts on maintenance of social welfare hostels and students who secured admission into the hostels must give better performance than students studying in other schools. Of the 526 vacant seats in Gurukul schools for SC girls, 502 seats were filled. In ST category, the numbers of seats available are 41 and the number of applicants was only nine by Thursday evening.
