District Collector, Mr. M. Ravi Chandra warned the officials against the over consumption of electricity in Government offices. On Tuesday, he announced that usage of electricity in the Government offices would be considered while evaluating the performance of officials and employees of the offices concerned. Observing that there was no one to regulate the use of electricity in Government offices, Mr. Ravi Chandra advised the officials to take steps to minimize the use of power and appoint an employee to switch-off the lights and fans when the office work was over. Control over excessive use of power would also help in preventing electric short-circuits in the offices he added.
