A five-storey building Shyamala Sadan, which came down four days back in Kakinada have lot of defects in it. Inner sources declared that the then Corporation Officers played role in this. Earlier, Builder Satyanarayana Murthy got license to construct G+3 building but he constructed another floor. Later, he regularized this illegal license under Building Regulation Scheme (BRS). Pavani Constructions got license in the year 2007 and constructed it in 2008.  However, according to rules, few documents need to be submitted before construction but builder neglected it. The building plan was also not declared and construction was completed. According to the GO No 541 released on 17.11.2000, few rules must be considered. During building construction, 10 yards must be allotted to Corporation. Builder had shown that land has been gifted to the Corporation but in reality, there was no land at that place. According to Volta Act, 23 trees need to plant but there is not even a single tree in the premises. There are neither solar panels nor place for fire personnel to enter during emergency has been allotted. Without considering all this, plan was approved due to the negligence of the  officers then.
