Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad started her way in projects as farmers are not receiving water for cultivation. Yesterday she examined Subbhareddy Sagar, Chandrababu Sagar, Pushkar and Chagalnadu waterfall projects and met farmers to know their problems. She promised them to supply water for cultivation. For re construction of Subbhareddy Sagar a manisfesto of Rs.4 crores is made ready, we will prepare an estimation for both Subbhareddy and Chandrababu Sagar projects and release tender notice, she added. She observed the gap area near Subbhareddy Sagar left suez which was formed in 2010 and questioned why they have not taken any steps to fix this issue. She questioned Thasildar Rama Murthy about the collection of water taxes, we have collected Rs.15 lakhs till now and still Rs.25 lakhs is left to collect, he answered. Farmers requested Collector to provide water with the help of motors in the mean while. She asked why they have neglected in constructing the drainages even after completing the Chandrababu Sagar project. This is happened because of demands of farmers for compensation and late recovery of taxes replied Irrigation Engineer Mr. D. Kasi Visweswara Rao. After examining all the projects she ordered to take immediate actions in supplying water from Chagalnadu project and to start other pending works as early as possible.
