The Congress Panel has secured a majority in the elections to the posts of Directors of the District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCB) and District Cooperative Marketing Societies (DCMS), which are held here on Monday in the district. According to the sources, it is now a formality that Mr. Varupula Jogiraju, President of Lampakalova PACS, will be elected as the Chairman of the DCCB and Mr. K. V. Satyanarayana Reddy, President of Ravulapalem PACS, will become the chairman of the DCMS on the polling conducted Today. As both of them were the candidates of the Congress party. Speaking on this, the District Cooperative Officer Mr. A. Kishore has announced that total 20 candidates were elected as the directors of the DCCB and another one fallen vacant due to non filing of nomination for the SC category director posts which would be filled up now by co-option. Similarly for the DCMS, seven candidates were declared elected as the directors and three directors posts would have to be filled up by co-option marking one each for SC,ST and BC categories.
