Kakinada, Dec 29th: Kakinada MP and minister of state for defence, M.M Pallam Raju directed the concerned officials to complete the welfare schemes and projects by the end of the financial year. Participating in the VMCs meeting at the Zilla Parishat Hall here on Tuesday, the MP asked the officials to find out the loop holes and speed up the process of completing the welfare scheme in time. He revealed that budget will be allocated for the village development in the coming financial year.

Later officers belonging to  Panchayathi Raj, RWS, Housing Board and others gave power point presentation. Nallamilli Sesha Reddy, Legislator of Anaparthy Assembly constituency suggested the district collector and chairman of the district vigilance and monitoring committee (VMC), Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi to register criminal cases against corrupt government officials. Mere imposition of suspension orders and inquiries would not effectively work out, he opined. Responding to the MLA's suggestions, the collector said that he would consider the suggestions and act on them.

MLC Goerge victor, collector, CEO Bhavani Das, DRDA PD Ramarao, DWAMA PD Ravi Kumar, RWS SE Dayal and others participated in the meeting.
