Kakinada, Feb 5^th: Authorities have made elaborate arrangements for organizing the MLC elections that are going to take place today. The polling will take place from 8am to 4pm in both East and West Godavari districts. Nearly 112 polling stations (64 in East Godavari and 48 in West Godavari) are set up for the benefit of 13,187 voters with 112 poling officers and 224 assistant polling officers.

Authorities have imposed section 144 in and around the polling stations for maintaining law and order. Ban on carrying mobile phones was imposed on voters to avoid any disturbances. All the ballet boxes and the other polling materials have already reached the polling stations and after completing the polls they will send back to JNTU university, Kakinada. Counting will take place on February 9^th and the results will be announced immediately.

There are nine candidates in the fray and the voters are expected to give their votes in the order of preference. The main battle is expected to take place between the Jacto supported candidate, Mr. K.V.V Satyanarayana Raju, UTF president Mr, Subhash Chandra Bose and the retired head master I. Satyanarayana. It is said that the elections are turned to be prestigious for the teachers.
