Ramachandrapuram, July 19th: The minister for social welfare announced that the state government has got a commitment to generate jobs for 10 lakh unemployed youth during a period of five years in the state. Taking part in the Rajiv Udyogasri mela held here on Sunday, the minister said that the government was planning to provide jobs to nearly two lakh unemployed educated youth to change their mindset and be prepared to work anywhere.
He said that several youth who were trained in ITI were staying in villages and were not looking for jobs. He asked them not to wait for employment only in the private sector by saying that the employees in private sector are getting more wages when compared with public sector. He asked the youth to select their choice of work and improve their skills and find work to help them support themselves, their families and parents.
