Collector’s plea for relief

Kakinada, Oct 6th: Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) chairman and East Godavari district Collector Mr. Gopalakrishna Dwivedi appealed to the people to support flood victims in the neighboring districts. In an official release, the collector stated that people who want to extend help to the victims of floods in Kurnool, Mahbubnagar, Guntur, Nalgonda and Krishna districts in the state can extend their support in the form of clothes, money or kitchenware through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Details in this regard can be obtained from a toll free phone number 1077 or 0884-2365424 or 2365428 or 2371409 that were set up at the collectorate to provide more information about the relief work and donations. The collector further said that as of now donations amounting to Rs 50,000 were received. Cash and material help would be forwarded to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, the release added.
