New Delhi, Oct 19^th: 2 people died by the collapse of a part of Delhi metro bridge which was under construction on Sunday at Vikas Marg in Delhi. The incident took place early in the morning at 7 am.

      Concrete structure weighing nearly 400 tones was slipped unfortunately while lifting. At the time of incident many local buses and vehicles were passing under the bridge.

       The Blueline bus which was passing under the bridge was smashed and the driver was dead at the spot, Afgan society worker Chotelal died while undergoing treatment. 12 people sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital for treatment. Two trailers and some of the cars were also damaged in the incident.

     Anuje Dayal, DMRC president showed his condolence regarding the incident to the victim families and announced exgrattia of 5 lakhs to each of the kin families,50,000 to the injured persons, and appointed 3 high level officials for further investigation of the incident. He ordered the construction department to hand over the Afgan records for further investigation.
