Kakinada, Mar 7th: An Sri Lankan fishing boat with a crew of five members was apprehended by the Indian Coast Guard ship “Sagar” on Saturday, steaming into the Indian territorial waters in Bay of Bengal off Machilipatnam Coast. Sri Lankan boat along with the crew was being pulled to Kakinada Coast. The Fisheries Department had been asked to be ready to take possession of the huge catch of tuna fish and shrimp on board by Sunday. After joint interrogation by a team of Coast Guard, Customs and Navy Officials, the boat along with the crew would be handed over to Kakinada Marine Police for prosecution, the sources added.
