Kakinada, Aug 28th: Praja Rajyam Party president, Mr. Chiranjeevi will visit district here on Saturday to take part in demonstration about the ongoing agitation for allocating ‘a fair share’ of the natural gas found in Krishna-Godavari basin, to Andhra Pradesh. The program was scheduled to be held at 2 pm in front of the Collector’s office. A large number of PRP workers and supporters were being mobilized to fight for the people’s cause.
Mr. Chiranjeevi and his top brass are arriving by Gowtami Express and they will proceed to Gadimoga to take stock of the situation where the Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has its on-shore terminal. PRP has seized the initiative from TDP to secure the people’s interest in retaining a reasonable quantity of D 6 gas for use by power and fertilizer plants in the State and also for distribution to households in a phased manner.
