Bagroots campaign was conducted under the joint aegis of Global Needs International, InKakinada.com and Narayana e-Techno School, Apollo Hospitals here on Friday. This campaign is mainly aimed at creating public awareness on the harmful effects of plastic bags and polythene. Vice Chancellor of JNTU-K Prof. Allam Apparao, called upon every individual to feel responsible enough in prohibiting the usage of plastic bags. Mr. Allam Apparao flagged-off the 3Km rally at JNTU College as a part of two-day event ‘Bagroots campaign’. City MLA Mr. Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy participated as the chief guest in this campaign. Speaking on this, MLA stated that people should completely avoid the usage of plastic bags and must be aware of the shocking facts behind its usage. He applauded people who organized this rally and stated that conducted such rallies for creating awareness in public is very much appreciable. This rally proceeded towards Bhanugudi Junction, Main Road and ended at Balaji Cheruvu Center. Later, hundreds of people joined and raised slogans against usage of plastic bags. In this program, Nyros Technologies CEO Mr. Pavan Kumar, TV9 Anchor Miss Suzy, Students of Narayana Educational Institutions, Gowtam Model School, Aditya Public School, Sama Public School and Employees of Nyros Technologies participated.
