Kakinada, April 9th: Charu Sinha took charges as East Godavari District’s first women SP on Thursday. Outgoing SP Y. Nagi Reddy who was placed in a vacancy reserve by election commission for showing soft corner towards the people involved in oil pilferage handovered the charges to Sinha at district police office. Prior to her joining here she was holding the post of joint director, Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), Hyderabad. Earlier she worked in Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) Europe, SP of Chitoor District in AP.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, Sinha felt happy to work in East Godavari where she spent the initial years of her profession. 11 years back she underwent IPS training in the district. She was very confident to do her best for the people. He revealed that her immediate focus would be on peace conduct of fore coming elections. She sought the cooperation of both public and media in discharging her duties to safe guard the law and order. Working in the district like East Godavari which has highest population is a challenging task for civil servants.
