Kakinada, July 20th: The East Godavari administration proposes some changes in the conduct of the Palle Bata every Friday. Instead of announcing the place of the program in advance, the venue will be decided before reaching the place as local authorities have been taking steps at the eleventh hour to avoid the attention of the district authorities. The district collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi said that a team of 15 to 20 officials of district cadre are sufficient for the program, instead of all the district officials. The remaining 20 officials will be sent to various other mandals for effective conduct of the program simultaneously.

He said that these few changes will be more effective in solving the peoples problem to a major extend. He also said that in the remaining working days in the week, the district officials will conduct surprise visits to check the working of the subordinates at mandals. The collector made it clear that the motto behind this move is to fix greater accountability on officials in taking up welfare measures of the government to the common man.
