Chaitanya yatra by Telugu Bhasha Parirakshana Samiti

Kakinada, Feb 22nd: On the Occasion of centenary birthday celebrations of well noted Telugu basha pandit, Narla Venkateswara Rao, Telugu Bhasha Parirakshana Samiti is organizing varothsavalu in the district. On the fourth day of varothsavalu, chaitanya yatra was taken up at Aditya Educational Institute, Srinagar on Sunday. High Court chief justice G. Raghu Ram who attended as the chief guest did jyothiprajwalana and initiated the program. The yatra was organized under the chairmanship of Y. Lakshmi Prasad.

 

Mr. Raghu Ram paid rich tributes to N. Venkateswara Rao by garlanded his picture. Speaking on the occasion he revealed the greatness and importance of Telugu language. He also said that the Telugu language is the representation of Indian culture and heritage and called upon the youth to protect this heritage. Kolli Sarada, daughter of N. Venkateswara Rao also presided over the meeting. Speaking on the occasion she explained the need of organizing such campaigns for educating the people about the importance of Telugu language.

 

Eenadu newspaper writer and journalist Shankara Narayana also attended the meeting. . Addressing the gathering he asked the people and the youth to inculcate the habit of learning pure and clean Telugu language so as to pay the healthy way for the coming generations. He expressed concerned over the negligence of the language. Later the Samithi has organized rally from Aditya School to L.I.C office via Bhanugudi Junction. President of Aditya Educational Society, N. Shesha Reddy, Lakshmi Rajyam, Dr. Ennayya Achari, P. Subbayya and many more participated.
