Inter College Central Zone Competitions were conducted here on Thursday. Various competitions like Kabbadi, Ball Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Volley Ball, Football, Shot put, Javelin Throw were conducted. Earlier, University Sports Secretary, Mr. G.Syam Kumar started the competitions. Speaking on this, Mr. Syam stated that every sportsperson must play with sportive spirit. All sufficient arrangements have been made for the non-local sportsperson, he added. Later, Coach, Mr. Venu Gopal Rao appreciated the winners of TT Competitions. These competitions will conclude on Friday. Tandra Paparayudu (Bobbili) team won over BVC Odalrevu in Volleyball competitions. Vadlamudi Laara team reached League stage in Kabbadi competitions. JNTU Team won over VVIT team in Table tennis competitions. Chaitanya College (Kakinada) and PVP Siddartha (Vijayawada) reached finals in Badminton. JNTU Kakinada, GMRIT, Pragathi, PVP Siddartha reached semi finals in Football match. NIK(Kanchikarla), Pragna reached finals in Kabbadi. And GIET and Raghu Engineering College reached finals in Basketball competitions.
