The stage has been set for the celebrations of 'Telugu Theaters day' at Surya Kala Mandir this Friday at evening 6:30 P.M. Telugu Theaters Day is celebrated to coincide with birth anniversary of Kandukuri Veeresalingam, eminent social worker and the first Telugu playwright. District Cultural organizing  Convenor, V.Ramanjaneylu addressing media persons said that his organization along with State Film, TV and Theater Development Corporation, Young Men Happy Club are organizing this program. On this occasion, 5 prominent people who worked for the development of  theaters will be felicitated he added. Each one of them will be awarded with Rs.10,000 along with picture of Kandukuri  Veereshalingam. Famous cine actor & director, Mr.Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Collector M.Ravichandra will participate as chief guest in this event. Theater audience Pathivada Suryanarayana, A.P.Aravindho Society President D.V.N.Sarma, Actors D.S.Deekshith, Critics N.Venkatateswararao and others will also participate. The function will be followed by a superb presentation of the mythological drama Vipra Narayana, who bagged the Golden Nandi Award in the 'padya natakam' category in the Nandi Natakotsavam organized by the AP state government in 2009.
