World Wildlife Fund (WWF)-India, Andhra Pradesh State Office is organizing the Earth Hour in 2011 in Kakinada, East Godavari District on Saturday. The young volunteers of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada will support WWF in leading the event at Kakinada. Like-minded partners like, Nyros Technologies, AP Pollution Board, SRMT, Regency Ceramics, JNTU Kakinada are providing support to the EARTH HOUR. This year, the global theme of Earth Hour is 60+, which is one hour of turning off all electrical appliances for 60 minutes for Earth Hour, plus committing to a personal action to benefit the environment. The event is being organized between 8.30pm to 9.30 pm on the Saturday in Kakinada, East Godavari District. The event schedule goes like this
1700-2030 hrs : Training workshop on Energy Audit at Hotel Ishwarya Grand
2030-2100 hrs : Candle light walk from Bhanugudi Junction to Vivekananda Park
2100-2130 hrs : Cultural Event at Vivekananda Park.
