Kakinada, Sep 14th: The East Godavari district collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi directed the officials to respond to people’s petitions promptly and sort them out in time. Taking part in the grievance cell meeting held at the district water management agency office here on Monday, collector felt the need to sort out the problems as early as possible to win the confidence of the people that their problems were getting redressed.
Earlier, 19 petitions communicated their problems to the collector over phone from 9.30 am to 10.30 am and the authorities registered the complaints as part of e-parishkaram program. The collector also directed the officials to post the progress of the complaint online to help the petitioners find out the progress. He warned of stern action against the officials who show laxity in sorting out the grievances of the people. Later, collector announced that steps were taken to help the students get their scholarships early.
