Call to make AP disabled free

Kakinada, Feb 26th: East Godavari District collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi called upon the public to take all measures and put efforts to make Andhra Pradesh disabled free state. He waved the flag for the rally with slogan “Take Andhra Pradesh Disabled Free From Now’ here on Friday which was started at Bhanugudi Junction and proceeded towards Rangaraya Medical College. Later a meeting was organized at Rangaraya Medical College auditorium under the chairmanship of ZP Chairman Mr. Venu.

Speaking on the occasion, Collector called upon the officials to bring awareness among the public about the measures to be taken to eradicate disability. He revealed that the government is initiating many welfare schemes for the benefit of the disabled persons.  Mr. Venu said that percentage of disability is more in villages due to lack of proper facilities, hygienic food and health conditions. Later collector unveiled the CD on disability called “Edi Sadhyam”. Representatives from various welfare organizations took part in the program.
