Call to improve basic amenities

Rajahmundry, July 22nd: The local MLA, Mr. Routhu Surya Prakasa Rao, called for improving the amenities at various places in the city. The legislator along with the municipal commissioner, Mr. K. Manik Raj, inspected several places here on Wednesday. The MLA proposed widening the roads to facilitate free flow of traffic near Kotipalli bus stand as the vehicles were coming from two directions with one from rail cum road bridge while the other from the railway station.

 

The municipal commissioner said that the municipal corporation was ready to provide signal posts and lighting facilities at busy junctions to help regulate vehicular traffic. The legislator asked the commissioner to make efforts to provide toilet facilities at Kotipalli bus stand to which the commissioner responded positively. He also called for improving the road network leading to Gautami ghat as more number of people was visiting that ghat every day.
