Kakinada, Mar 8th: East Godavari District collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi ordered the returning officers and the officials of police department to identify the sensitive areas in the district immediately. A review meeting was organized by him at district collectorate court hall on Sunday. Officers of revenue and police attended the meeting. Various issues relating to the smooth conduct of polls were discussed.
Speaking on the occasion he fixed the dead lines for the concerned officers to identify the sensitive areas before Monday evening and submit a report to him for further review. He revealed that a control room was opened at executive director office premises to receive complaints on violation of model code of conduct. He ordered the officers to arrange wireless phone services to the areas where the singles were found to be week.
Collector reviewed on various parameters fixed by the election commission. He suggested the municipal commissioners and panchayat raj officials to remove the unauthorized hoardings and flexi boards by Monday evening. He suggested the returning officers to shift the polling stations which were located in buildings in dilapidated condition.
