Kakinada, Mar 18th: East Godavari District collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi called upon the bankers and the officials of the Indira Kranti Scheme to extend maximum loans to all the eligible Self Help Groups (SGH) in the coming financial year. In this concern a meeting was organized by him with the concerned officials at
Collectorate court hall here on Thursday. In addition to this collector reviewed the issuing of loans to SGHs, SGSY, Aam Admi Yogana and Abayahastam schemes.
Speaking on the occasion collector said that they have fixed a target of Rs 952 crores, out of which Rs 402 crores were issued till now. He asked the officials to complete the target as soon as possible by giving loans to all the eligible people. Collector revealed that Rs 132 crores were sanctioned under micro credit scheme and asked the officials and the bankers to give away loans to the groups on March 25 under daily monitoring basis. DRDA PD K. Madhukar Babu, LDM S. Jaganath Raju, bankers and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
