Kakinada, Feb 4th: The district education officer, Mr. S. Dharmaraju called upon the school heads to improve the pass percentage of their students especially in the ensuring Class X examinations. The DEO said that nearly 78,779 Class X students were going to appear for SSC exams scheduled to be held from March 28 in East Godavari. Maintaining that some students were lagging behind in their studies due to irregular attendance and examination phobia, the DEO felt the need to organize model tests and give special coaching to the academically weak students.
Meanwhile the West Godavari collector, Ms. A. Vani Prasad called up on teaching community to strive for achieving better results in the ensuing SSC examinations for the district. The collector reminded the teachers that majority of students who study in government schools hails from poor families and the teachers should ensure better future for these sections. The collector also asked the teachers to develop confidence levels in the students of these sections for achieving better results.
