Kakinada, Mar 16th: To safe guard the law and order situation in the district, East Godavari district Superintendent of Police, Mr. Y. Nagi Reddy called upon the police officials to be alert during the elections. A review meeting was organized by him at district police office on Monday. Speaking to the police officials he ordered them to keep a close watch on rowdy sheeters and troublemakers. He also asked to clear up all the pending cases before polls and take necessary action if needed.
SP asked to seize the party vehicles that will be touring in the district without the permission of the authorities. He also asked to take action on the party representatives who organize public meetings and political rallies without prior permission. Section 30 is likely to be implemented in the district. He revealed that special police forces will be arranged in sensitive and hyper sensitive areas. He warned to take severe action on those political parties and representatives who try to violate poll code. Additional SP Janarthan, DSP Achuth Rao, CI’s and SI’s participated.
