Ramachandrapuram, Sep 7th: The minister for social welfare, Mr. Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, called for implementation of the welfare schemes initiated by the late chief minister Dr. Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy in a proper manner in order to pay real tribute to him. Condoling the sudden demise of YSR here on Monday, the minister turned emotional saying that when Rayavaram munsif helped him learn basics of politics, YSR helped him to do post graduation in it.

He said that September 2 was the saddest day in the state and called YSR’s death as a great loss to the state. He described YSR as a man of action by saying that it was the late chief minister who fulfilled all his promises made during the 2004 polls and commended him for initiating schemes like fee reimbursement for students and Rajiv Arogyasri which were not mentioned in the manifesto. He also said that the supply of rice at Rs 2-a-kg was meant to help the poor to have a square meal a day without difficulty.
