Kakinada, April 12th: East Godavari district SP, Ms Charu Sinha asked the people to call 1090 and inform about the poll code violators and trouble makers. She said that people can bring to her notice like liquor supply, distribution of money, distribution of articles and any other favor which comes under poll violation. He revealed that the authorities have set up a special cell for receiving complaints on poll related issues.
She urged the people to help the authorities in finding the poll code violators and trouble makers. She also asked them to extend their help in organizing free and fair polls. She assured that the name of the informer will be kept in secret and besides this the informer will be awarded with cash prize.
Training for poll staff concluded
The second phase of two day training program organized for the polling staff was concluded on Saturday. According to the returning officer and Kakinada revenue divisional officer, Mr. G.C Kishore Kumar, nearly 800 poll staff were trained on Saturday. Awareness about the usage of Electronic Voting Machine was created among the staff. They were also informed about the voting process through postal ballot.
