Ravulapalem, Dec 1st: A passenger was seriously injured in an accident caused by the RTC bus when it hit another RTC express bus which was stationary in the bus complex. The incident took place on Monday at Ravulapalem bus complex.
According to eyewitness, an express bus going from Vijayawada to Amalapuram arrived the bus station. The bus was stationery, as the passengers were boarding the bus. Mean while another bus from Kakinada suddenly rushed into the complex and rammed the stationary bus which mounted the platform and hit the man who was sitting on the bench in bus complex. Victim was identified as Dasari Krishnayya of Nellore district.
The man was seriously injured and his legs were fractured. RTC authorities shifted the injured to the government hospital at Kakinada in 108 for treatment. Ravulapalem SI K. Lakshmana Reddy shifted both the buses to the station and filed the report against them. The passengers boarding in both the buses faced problems due to delay.
