Kakinada, Jan 8th: The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited plans to introduce G-3 services for the benefit of its mobile subscribers in the first week of February in East Godavari. The BSNL authorities maintain they were going to launch the G-3 services in a phased manner covering 100 km in the district and in the first phase, they were going to provide the service from Rajahmundry, Kakinada to Tuni along the railway route and the requisite equipment to facilitate the service was installed at some places. Once the BSNL is successful in launch of the service, it will be the first provider of such service ahead of its rival in the private sector in the district.

The BSNL district telecom general manager, Mr. G. Raghavendra Rao, told the newsmen here on Friday that they were planning to provide broadband facility to every house having its utility and affordability with an option various packages as per requirement and demand. He claimed credit for providing broadband conductivity even in the islets on Godavari river in Razole mandal and to the Antarvedi temple and also to the Donkarai power project located in the Rampachodavaram agency area. He said that they were planning to lay the copper cable network to all the villages in the district to improve literacy and lifestyle.
