Kakinada, Dec 10th: Police took action on the concerned officers who were demanding bribe from recently selected constables to give fitness report. Corps became alert with the article posted in Sakshi “Dakshinaladuguthunnaru” on 9th of December. The incident took place at Government General Hospital, Kakinada on Wednesday.
Special branch police has interrogated the Government hospital CSRMO who was facing complaints in this issue. District In charge SP A.V Ranganath has observed the medical tests that were going on. He enquired the constables about the persons who were demanding the bribe and the issues pertaining to it. He asked them to pay only 125Rs in favor of the tests.
CI Ravikanth ordered the hospital management to publish the details in the notice board about the medical test and their fees so that no corruption takes place. He asked the constables to complain in the police station against the persons who were asking for bribe. 50.000Rs was collected against the fees from the constables. Hospital superintendent R.B Sharma said that the money will be utilized to acquire equipment to the hospital.
