Rajahmundry, Jan 8th: The AP State Tourism Development Corporation is going to suspend its popular pleasure trip of sailing on Godavari river from Pattiseema to Papikondalu from Saturday for want of adequate water in the river causing a  lot of disappointment to visitors with pongal vacations round the corner. The APTDC authorities maintain that in order to allow its mechanized boats to sail on the river water, it requires a minimum of eight feet from river bed and as per the reports the water level is as low as two feet.

As the water level in Godavari upstream where the boats sail to reach Papikondalu is dwindling, the APTDC is having no option except to cancel its pleasure trips and the authorities maintain that they are getting information about the water level in the river on a day to day basis and in case they failed to run the boats, they are giving one day advance information for those who booked the tickets and the full amount is being refunded.
