Kakinada, Feb 20th: Demanding the government for SC categorization, Madiga Reservation Porata samithi (MRPS) has organized dharna at all local thasildhar offices on Friday. Dharna took place from morning 10am to 2pm. The activists blocked the main gates of the offices and clogged officers from entering. Even after the requests made by I town SI, Ram Mohan Reddy and III town SI Pavan Kumar the activists did not allow thasildhar Ch. Sattibabu to enter into the office. They criticized the congress government for not passing the categorization bill in the parliament even after their repeated requests.
Activists also obstructed MLA Mutha Gopala Krishna who came there to attend a local program. While he was on the way back to home the activists obstructed him and demanded to convey his opinion on categorization. MLA tried to escape from the situation saying that the issue was not to his cadre. With this a huge discussion took place between the activists and the MLA. With the interference of the cops the discussion came to an end. Activists raised slogans against MLA for his negligence towards the issue. K. Syam Babu, Kommu Nagesh, Valluri Satyavathi, D. Raju, G. Baburao and many more participated in dharna.
